The End of Something Great #9

Have you ever had something that you’ve spent years trying to accomplish, and it finally come to an end? or spent numerous hours and countless days stressing over it. That has been my whole high school experience, i’ve spent days, hours and, lost sleep over an assignment that was only graded as participation points. High school will forever be something I hold onto, as we all go off and get into the work place or even the college of our dreams people will never forget how high school made them the person they are today. I say that because, the classes you take, the person you decide to be to other people is what defines you as a person, or gets you to the job you want in the future. I don’t mean that in a bad way either, I mean it as in if you are taking an anatomy class, you not taking it because it fun. You are taking the class because you want to go into the medical field. In general high school makes or breaks everyone, but no matter how fantastic or how awful high was for you, you will never forget about how shaped those 4 years of your life.

Graduation #8

As the end of my senior year, I have so many things to be thankful for. I want to thank all my teachers and any one else who contributed in my high school career. I have learned so much through out the last 4 years of high school, any where from learning how much I hate math, to learning to love English. High school teachers kids different things, it might teacher one kid that being in big groups isn’t how he or she learns, to learning how to punctuate a sentence correctly. I know that my life long lessons my teachers gave me, or the numerous amount of times i’ve been told not to slack off and to make sure i’m on time to graduate has been worth it. In the end the struggle is really worth it. Being able to walk across the stage at the end of the school year has so much value behind it, it shows you stuck it out and made such an effort to graduate.

a jump into spring #4

My “spring” break was full of so many different activities. The first thing i did when school ended was took a long nap. I didn’t have any big plans nor was I going to travel anywhere. So I though that it would be a great idea to try and catch up on some sleep. The plan for spring break was to just hangout with friends, and have a good week without any thing to upset me or bring me down, so I did just that. I hung out with friends all break and just cherished that this was going to be my very last spring break of my high school experience. I wouldn’t of changed a thing over break, it was full of friends, family and just a bunch of good times.

wrapped Goodness #7

When it comes to foods for me, i’m a little on the picky side. Vegetables and fruits are the two foods i’m most picky with, i have no honest reason why when it comes to those foods i’m picky. The one fruit I can’t stand the most is, watermelon. Just the name alone gives me chills, tasting it for the first time was probably one of the worst foods i’ve ever ate. Other than that i’m not very picky, one of the best food places around is salsa grille in Fort Wayne. Salsa grille is a Mexican restaurant, you get to pick from a different variety of either nachos, burrito, tacos, and bowls. It’s kind of like a buffet but they put together your food. I always get the burrito, with Spanish rice, chicken, cheese, and chipotle sauce. I’m telling you this is the best place to eat at if you are hungry and don’t want to spoil your dinner, its a great place to stop and get a lunch bite.

Life After High School #5

I don’t have a solid plan after graduating High school. I really have been looking into taking a year off, but i know a lot of people are against it because they think most people who take a year off never goes back. In my case i’m trying to take that year off to work and save up money for college. I do know that i want to goto school for nursing, i’ve looked at many different colleges with nursing programs. The place I work at offered tuition reimbursement, which is if you goto college through the company they will pay for you to become a nurse. My work also offers QMA classes, which i’m already signed up to take them after i graduate high school. One college i was really interested in was International Business College but they don’t a high enough education, such as a RN. They only offer a medical assist.

Ten tips for Freshmen #3

A few things I wish I would of known coming out of middle school, becoming a freshman would of been, don’t slack off your first year. Getting all your credits in that you need, getting the requires classes out of the way will be beneficial to you in your senior and junior year. Another big thing i wish I would of known is to alway bring head phones!! they will help block out so much walking from class to class, or even trying to do school work in class. There will be a lot of distractions during the day and listening to music really helped me keep my focus and get my work done on time. there is a lot of tips you could give incoming freshmen, but as long as you set a cushion for yourself your freshman and sophomore year you will have a pretty easy rest of high school experience. With that i’m not saying you won’t have to do any work but it will be a lot less stress free

  1. walk on the right side of the hallway
  2. keep your circle small
  3. school life before social life
  4. do your homework
  5. turn things in on time
  6. get involved in something
  7. get enough sleep before high school because your not going to get much through the 4 years
  8. have at least 5 pairs of sweat pants 😉
  9. stay out of trouble
  10. respect your teachers

E- Learning #6

The way i feel about E-Learning is that its a really good thing to have. The reasoning behind this is because it gives us the time to make up class work at home instead of taking away from breaks that people look forward to having. Being a senior in High school, and having cancellations that interrupt my breaks that I look forward to was always super frustrating. One other reason these E-Learning days could benefit a lot of students is just getting a break away from school. High school has been a really toxic place for me, it wasn’t only mentally challenging it was physically taking a toll on me. Schooling in general isn’t for everyone. With that being said kids who are forced to be here everyday that we are required to come to school really takes a toll on them. It’s basically like having a mental health day for some. In general it is just a super easy way to great lessons across without taking away or adding days to the end of the year.

A Day In The Life As A CNA #2

. Being a CNA personally is one of the best things i have chose to do career wise. I love the work environment and the work I get to experience while working with older people. The downfalls of being a CNA which could be the mentally challenging part would be, when you get attached to a resident. Which its hard not to, your taking care of them all the time and constantly helping them get into bed, brushing their teeth, washing their hair, and so much more. Then they end up passing away and you have to take care of the post mortem cares then have to help the family process the loss of the loved one. The physically challenging part is having to lift 150+ pound people. If they are over a certain weight we get to use a lift to get them into bed easier. Being a CNA you work long exhausting hours because, CNA’s are always needed. Most of the nursing homes you’ll goto will be understaffed with CNA’s. Overall being a CNA takes a lot of physical work but it also requires you yo be mentally as strong.

About me #1

My name is Destiny Adams, i’m 18 years old. I am a senior in high school about to graduate in 18 weeks. When I was a junior in high school i took a 2 semester CNA class to get CNA certified, after I passed the class I got a job at Markle Health Care. I don’t do much when i’m not working, I don’t do any sport in school nor do i do any after school activities. My family is very important to me, I have 1 sister who’s name is Alexis and she is 16 years old and a brother Braylen who is 9 I care about them more than anything. My friends also mean a lot to me I only have about 2 really close friends. Between my friends and my family, the only other thing i care about is graduating. My grandparents also play a very important role in my everyday life, without them I would go insane. I see my grandma mostly everyday, weather I go drive to see her or she comes to my moms house to see me. We have a very tight bond and I never want to loose that.
